Home Safety Check List Falls can happen anytime and any place. They are a particularly serious problem for older Americans. But there's good news. Falls Can Be Prevented! Keeping seniors safe in their home is our
goal. ResponseLINK developed a program call
FIPS, Fall Injury Prevention For Seniors.
This program is designed to
provide
seniors, their
caregivers
and healthcare professionals with a comprehensive program to avoid falls in the
future and thereby reduce fall related injuries. We have found that our subscriber's care about their loved one's and their safety while living in their own homes. As a part of the FIPS program, ResponseLINK put together a Home Safety Check List to help families recognize potential safety hazards in the home. This safety list takes in to consideration most areas of the home like the bathroom, bedroom, kitchens and more. The majority of seniors wish to continue to live in their own home for as long as possible. However, many homes as not well designed or equipped to meet the safety needs as they age.
